By land…
Nearby the retreat, miles of the South West Coast Path weave along towering cliffs, hidden coves and abandoned tin mines, with a new view seemingly around every corner. It’s little surprise this coastline inspired The Salt Path.
Our favourite detours include Pedn Vounder, Gwynver and Nanjizal Bay — three wildly different beaches, each rewarding the extra few minutes on foot.

Depending on the time of year, sea safaris and wildlife tours offer the chance to spot playful dolphins, curious seals and, if you're particularly lucky, whales cruising along the coast.

Equal parts biker hangout, live music venue and neighbourhood bar. Go for the atmosphere, stay because one drink somehow turns into three. If Road House had a Cornish cousin, this would probably be it.
